On a prominent sun-drenched corner of the bustling Ibiza village of Santa Gertrudis, the simple, finca-style building of Es Cucons La Tienda stands alone, with just a few choice homewares and fashion pieces spilling onto the street outside, daring you to discover what lies within.

Ibiza interiors
The headquarters for Ibiza interiors on the San Juan road is a charming retail space and a showcase for the architectural service and interior design expertise of Jurgen Van Hulzen.

Exquisite examples of original mid-century furniture intersect with modern designs, art and select homewares. With his team of three architects and designers, Van Hulzen brings a rare aesthetic to the Ibiza design scene.

The company’s retail space in Amsterdam, The Modern, allows Ibiza design lovers access to competitive prices on original and vintage pieces. Eames and Carl Hansen classics sit alongside contemporary Scandi chic such as Heerenhuis, Muuto & Frama and Tine K. Eginstill kitchens are tailor made in the highest quality steel and outdoor needs are well covered by Dutch brand Weltevree. The best nights sleep can be found with COCO-MAT ecological mattresses while rugs are sourced directly from Morocco and cover a gamut of styles.

The shop was created around an imagined couple – youthful, active, global travellers and design lovers who might live or visit Ibiza regularly. From here, the Ibiza Interiors brains trust, conceive, design and execute projects in locations across the island – from the very first sketch until the final finishing fixtures and touches. The studio is the shop and vice versa.

Conceptually, Ibiza interiors has a subdued visual language centering on quality with a dash of beach vibe and humour. The team collaborates with clients to take projects from planning to completion, redesign and renovate existing spaces or create a specific style at the end of the architectural process. For those who are not based on the island, your project is in the very best of hands.

Van Hulzen chooses his brands carefully, focusing on craftsmanship, functionality and excellence in design. Leaning towards a relaxed Scandi luxury with traces of industrial morphology, natural materials serve as a gateway to the lived environment. Van Hulzen’s eye is wonderfully suited to the Ibiza lifestyle, working brilliantly in both traditional and contemporary spaces.

Ksarliving
Specialist in high-end Ibiza interior decoration for home, hotel, restaurants and villa's

A high-end Ibiza intererior design studio on the famous San Juan road, KsaR Living is the vision, hobby and obsession of owner Alberto Cortes – a contemporary nomad who is constantly circumnavigating the world in search of inspiration. Its façade gives little clue as to the treasure trove of décor, indoor and outdoor furnishings, lighting, bathroom fixtures, art and textiles that lie within. Step inside however, and you’ll be enveloped in Alberto’s world of wonderment – a place where each and every piece has a story, be it from the artisans who handcrafted it in an exotic land, or the tale that led to the discovery of a brand, to the origins of the raw materials used in production

Describing the KsaR Living style as ‘holiday architecture’ – the perfect fit for homes, villas, restaurants and hotels in Ibiza – Alberto sources, or designs, every single item in the cavernous showroom himself, making it a very personal collection despite the volume of stock on hand. Where most Ibiza interior designers need to custom order for a project, Alberto prides himself on being able to give clients the luxury of instant gratification. Whether you’re looking to spontaneously snap up something new, or want to kit out your entire villa for the new season, it can be done quickly and easily here.

Bespoke four poster beds, tables, chairs and cabinets made from reclaimed wood possess a patina unlike any other, sitting alongside stylish pieces from interior design brands from Italy, Denmark, Belgium, Germany and France, and handmade artisanal décor from across the globe. Tribal sculptures, statement tableware, antique pieces, dynamic paintings and striking photography prints, hemp carpets, deep soak stone tubs, hand carved vanities and amazing tiles add another dimension to the 1500 square metre KsaR Living showroom. There’s also rail upon rail of gorgeous textiles for both interior and exterior – colour fast and water-proof of course – upholstery and soft furnishings. The mix is eclectic, but it works.

Alberto takes on a very limited amount of complete projects per year, however also he collaborates with the best and finest Ibiza interior designers, architects, project managers, property developers and constructors in the business. His philosophy is that KsaR Living is for everyone – a community spirit that reflects the ethos of the island. All are welcome here.
