Cala Llonga
Cala Llonga is a perfect beach to visit with the kids. It is located in a beautiful green area between two wooded mountains.
The water is super clear and the nice thing is that it runs off with very fine sand, so you do not suffer from annoying thick stones. Are the kids tired of swimming and building sandcastles? Then they can have fun in the playground near the beach.
Cala Llonga is 200 meters long and 100 meters deep, so there is enough space to lay down your towel (or you can sit down on one of the many beach beds). The good thing is that there is also a lifeguard on the beach. If you don't like relaxing, you can also choose to use the water sports facilities. At Cala Llonga you can do parasailing, diving, windsurfing and water skiing.
Several tour boats depart from the bay near the village every day. These can take you to various destinations around the island. For example, you can spend a day in Ibiza town or Santa Eulalia.
From Cala Llonga you can book a nice excursion to the island of Formentera. Many people choose this day out.
The center of Cala Llonga offers various shops and approximately 15 restaurants. Including of course the Spanish restaurants such as tapas bars, but also Italian and Chinese restaurants. Standard dishes for the more traditional eater can also be found here. You will find less entertainment here. The place is therefore less visited by young people. You will find cozy bars with good cocktails and the famous Spanish Sangria.
In addition to the various restaurants and various (tourist) shops and supermarkets in the center. A pharmacy and an ATM are also available. There is also a playground and a mini amusement park.
In Cala Llonga you can also visit a cozy hippie market every Sunday. From May to October, a lively market is organized here every Sunday evening from 6:00 PM to midnight. You will find, for example, nice souvenirs for your home or other nice accessories such as handmade soap. You can also go there for boho clothing, beautiful hats, bags and art.
